Gavin Long is an attorney at Bisnar | Chase in Newport Beach, a national law firm specializing in auto defect cases, catastrophic personal injury cases, class actions and mass torts. Mr. Long specializes in catastrophic injuries, wrongful death and personal injury cases. His is currently on the Board of Directors for CAOC and OCTLA. Gavin is a member of ABOTA. Gavin is proficient in utilizing the Reptile methodology in trying cases. Gavin speaks nationally at Reptile conferences including Reptile Masters events. He received his undergraduate degree from University of Southern California and his law degree from Whittier Law School where he received the highest grade in the class for Torts and Evidence.
Gavin is being honored for his $3,000,000 jury verdict in August of 2015 in Joseph Butenhoff v. Rae Ann Bautista. This was an auto versus pedestrian case where the investigating officer concluded Mr. Butenhoff was 100% at fault. Mr. Butenhoff’s injuries were disputed since he was back to work doing heavy labor, climbing towers and driving a company truck. Allstate insurance made no offer until two months before trial when they tendered the $100,000 policy limits. All economic damages were waived, and the case proceeded to trial solely on non-economic damages.
